Grit.

Out here, running is raw, it’s brutal. The desert doesn’t care. The miles pass slow. Each step pounds against the Earth. Dry heat catches in your throat and the mind fights for focus, straining to maintain rhythm. The only sounds are footfall and breath.

The wind doesn’t offer comfort. The inclines seem long. And yet, somehow, there are moments of euphoria that find their way in…Desolate, unforgiving, and beautiful. The reward is there for those with the grit to discover it.
